Heheh. Sorry for not blogging in a long time. I've really got nothing to blog about. And my friend doesn't want to send me the grad videos and pictures. So yea. Anyway, I took out the tiny Christmas tree that Nene bought 3 or 4 years ago. Heheh. And I put the tree in my room. Heheheh. It looks very cute. And since Kak Arlin, blogged about her tree, I think I should blog about my tree too! Although I didn't decorate it. Because its already decorated. But I arranged the presents that I wrapped myself. I bought the presents for my bestest friends. Heheh. Since I won't be seeing some of them next year. Sadly. Hmm :( Heheh. But its okay! At least we'll still keep in touch! We promised each other! :D

That's all I have to blog about. I'm celebrating Christmas at my bestest friend's house on Tuesday and I'll take pictures and I will blog about that okay? Heheh. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!!!!

Christmas Market...and other things

Still on Estonia. We went to this Christmas Market they had in the Old Town. Ahh it snowed while we were there too. Everything was really beautiful and there was an almost magical feel in the air...

There was a bunch of kids dancing around in a circle

And I met Santa!

I took this pic especially for Ma. They had a whole row of florists. It must have been around 20 florists all in one row tau Ma. And lots and lots of flowers. Cantik sekali.

Big christmas tree in the middle of the Christmas Market. Hmm I'm not too sure but that could be me somewhere in the pic..a blurry red.

Exploring Tallinn in the evening.

And some other pics I forgot. Here's where we stayed.

And this was the first glance I had of Tallinn. We had just gotten off the ship from Stockholm then.

And while wandering around Tallinn, I saw this guy flirting blatantly with an Estonian 'girl' and took a pic. Hmm someone should tell him the girl's made of wood maybe...:)

That's all from me for now.

Lovies,

Nene

P.S. I had a lovely time CH.

Tallinn, Estonia
I was in Tallinn over the weekend and had a really great time! Tallinn was really beautiful and it was easy getting around cause everything was so close to each other. Hmm like Singapore really. And I had great company while I was there too. :) Here are some pics we took when I was there.

A bird's eye view of Tallinn and the buildings and houses and stuff. I think that tall tower in the middle is St. Nicholas' Church. It was marvellous to see everything from up there.

We were also in the Old Town where there were a lot of medieval things. Olde Hansa is this medieval-themed restaurant we found which was really cool. All the waiters and stuff were dressed up and they had interesting decor and music. Too bad it was fully booked when we were there. :(

Some other interesting things in the old town. Store selling jewellery made of amber.

We caught Santa trying to climb into someone's house!

Town wall and medieval towers. And the other tower is the Maiden Tower I think, which apparently was used as a prison for prostitutes back in the old days. Oh I love the name of some of these towers. There's a Tall Herman tower, Fat Margaret has a tower too and our favourite is Kiek in de Kök :). (NB: MA, I just checked up on that. It was the most powerful cannon tower in Northern Europe in the 16th Century. And it means "peek in the kitchen". Oh kök! Same as Swedish. Doh)

I really love how the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral looks! It was built when Estonia was part of the Russian tsarist empire. And the interior was really grand and very golden. Really interesting.

Ohh this was across the road from the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and I thought it looked so pretty! So pink! I wouldn't mind living there at all! This is Toompea Castle which is the seat of the Parliament of the Republic of Estonia (called the Riigikogu).

And then we also went to the Occupation Museum where we learnt about the period when Estonia was occupied by the Soviet Union and briefly by the Germans. And then while we were walking around I saw this statue of the head of some guy who apparently was an Estonian hero. Thanks CH :)

And because this is as good as Arlin's PERSONAL Blog....

I'm not matsaleh. I don't celebrate Christmas. In fact i'm looking forward to Hari Raya Haji this coming Thursday...but since ALL my friends were talking about their Christmas trees...and everyone seems to have one around here...I just had to get one too :D

Of course DD can't stop going on about how Singaporean my tree is...blah blah :p I wanted to get blue ornaments...but I couldn't find any! And I thought purple would be too gay. So I settled on red. Its not THAT majulah is it? :p

I look stupid here. Just as well blogger refuses to rotate my pic.

Yay! My tree lights up too!

Tulips.

Since nobody's blogging...and i'm bored right now...i'll just upload a few piccies. Got more flowers last weekend. Thought i'd try something new again....and we ended up with tulips......lots of them. 50 stalks to be exact. :)

Hehe...and of course they didn't all fit in the vase..so I had to place about 20 stalks in a jar...and a few more in a glass...hehe...since i only have ONE vase :p

Weekend.

I dragged myself out on Saturday night...well actually Syed was the one who practically did that...hehe it was soooo cold and windy outside...and I was soooo lazy....cause I was busy watching the Lizzie Mcguire and Cheetah girls movie :D...but anyway i'm amazed I actually stepped out of the house...and in my heels too! Woohoo! ;)

We went to two places that evening....Arc and Soho...both were in town. And Bart knew so many people...cause I think they go there quite often...oh and this guy kept coming up to our table...he was apparently some celebrity person on Project Runway...Dutch version of course...hehe I didn't recognise him though...i've never even seen the proggy.

Oh some girl came up to us...gave us these silly masks..and took our pics.

Me & Syed

Bart and me @ Arc

Us 3

Blogger's fault.

Christmas came a bit early...some silly performance at Soho.

McChicken!

We had lunch at Mcdonald's earlier today and sitting at the window we saw lunch walking outside too!

And there wasn't just one cock walking around either.

But of course, what is McChicken without fries? A little girl provided the missing ingredients for the meal:

Much hilarity ensued:

I think they wanted to become Happy Meals when they grew up.

Certainly an impressive display of dedication to the cause of McDonald's!

Next time we're going to have the burgers and see if we get some cows to drop by.
