Well anyway, I'm going to blog about the children's day celebration we had in school.
And it's my last children's day. :( So sad. Ay!
We had a concert. And the teacher's performed. That made it really special.
So fun. The first performence was by the Primary 4 teachers. And they were, Mrs Tan, Ms Rabot, Mrs Fauzi, Mdm Hana, Mrs Ortega and i'm not sure about the rest. I can't remember. But they were dancing to 'umbrella' by Rihanna. OMG! It was sooo damn funny. And Mrs Fauzi's umbrella couldn't open. And can you ever imagine Ms Sheila Rabot, the discipline mistress dancing???? Man it was so hilarious. Hahaha. Too bad there were no pictures. Cause I didn't bring a camera. And the camera's spoilt. So anyway, there were performences and slideshows. And there was one slideshow from the Primary 3 teachers. And they made it low school musical instead of high school musical. And then the Primary 6 teachers performed. And MRS KUA tied her hair into two ponytails. So cute. I screamed sooo much. I almost lost my voice. And I was fasting on that day which made it even worse. Arh! Then there was this contest thinggy where they would play the song and you had to guess it. And so they played part of that world from little mermaid for the P6es. And I was the first one to raise up my hand. But then I got the wrong answer. Cause I said Little mermaid. AHH! So embarrassing. Some more my hair was like tied in two buns. ah!! paiseh! lols. that was about it...and we got quite a lot of presents.
I'd like to wish all the children in the world a very happy CHILDREN'S DAY! whee! have fun. and make the best out of the holiday if you're p6 cause its you're last children's day!
Ben sent me this song earlier...its been ages since I talked to him...and I've kinda missed that...he always sends me all these wonderful songs....hehe even transferring them for me to my phone back then....he just seems to know what I like :)
Anyway....it was really lovely....the song he sent me today....I liked it immediately...even though I don't usually listen to Bryan Adams....thanks again Ben....i'm definitely gonna be listening to this one quite a bit now.....i'm even curious to check out the movie!...and congrats again on the 1st month with Amber....:)
Never Let Go - Bryan Adams.
Can you lay your life down, so a stranger can live? Can you take what you need, but take less than you give? Could you close every day, without the glory and fame? Could you hold your head high, when no one knows your name? That's how legends are made, at least that's what they say.
We say goodbye, but never let go. We live, we die, cause you can't save every soul. Gotta take every chance to, show that you're the kinda man who; Will never look back, never look down, and never let go.
Can you lose everything, you ever had planned? Can you sit down again, and play another hand? Could you risk everything, for the chance of being alone? Under pressure find the grace, or would you come undone? That's how legends are made, at least that's what they say?
We say goodbye, but never let go. We live, we die, cause you can't save every soul. Gotta take every chance to, show that you're the kinda man who; Will never look back, never look down, and never let go.
My turn now...LOVE LOVE LOVE this song...hehe been listening to it nonstop...my happy song for now...I listen to it ALL the time...even when i'm in the tram in the mornings....and then I just smile to myself :D And sisters....don't give me hell...I know this song will grow on you too...eventually ;)
Ooh been awhile since I've written about food so I have to do that now. First of all, Selamat Berpuasa everyone! And speaking of fasting, I've been having crazy cravings for all things sweet everytime I break my fast! And I figure since I've been fasting all day, I deserve to treat myself! Not good...
The other day after work, I splurged a bit on some yummy ice-cream. This was really good. I love the chocolate covered toffee crunch. Next time round I'll be getting this flavour...I forget what it's called but it has white AND milk chocolate chunks with almond and walnut. Mmmm my mouth waters at the thought. And Arlin, sorry I ate up your Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream years and years ago. I'll buy you some k? :p
And yesterday evening, while grocery shopping before Buka, I saw this bag of cookies that looked really cute. I had to buy it of course. It's like rubbishy German cookies and there are a few different kinds. Reminds me a bit of Freddo chocolate! I had to take pics of course. And yes I've eaten up practically the whole bag already!
Okay now we're jumping a bit back and forth but this Kak Hanies lah, take so long to send us these pics. No lah I shouldn't be whining. Thank you cuz for the lovely pics! And we had a great time that night, didn't we ladies? Ahh been so long since I was out dancing. A song comes to mind...
'Ladies leave your men at home
The club is full of ballers and their pockets full grown
And all you fellas leave your girl with her friends
Cause it's 11.30 and the club is jumpin jumpin'
Haha.
Ohh I can't believe how so much has changed in 3 years. Clarke Quay is actually damn happening now. I felt so lost. Didn't know where anything was anymore!
See I can't even remember the name of the club we went to. But it was pretty nice. And we had a lot of fun. Haha remember the 'Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me' dare? Hehe crazy Ar!
We got tired of clubbing so we sat down at this pub and chilled and took piccies!
Here's Arlin and Kak Hanies looking all jambu
Me and Cheryl who had on this outrageous backless top. It looks incredible from the back!
Arlin and Bernie, the BFFs
Me and Bernie
Me and my favourite cousin
Group piccies!
Girls, we should definitely do this again sometime! Thanks for the lovely evening and Kak Hanies, thanks again for the lovely piccies!
Ooh it's been so long since I've updated the blog and lots of things have happened so I'd better try and start writing again. So first up, when I came back Maryam had already given birth so I had to visit her and her new little baby, Klara!
Maryam and her husband Majid were nice enough to give me a treat at this Turkish buffet restaurant where we had some really yummy food.
And little Klara was such a doll! The day I met her she wasn't feeling very well though but for a one month old baby, I thought that she was really curious and seemed to be very aware of her surroundings already. Here are some pics I took!
Here's Mommy Maryam and my little god daughter, Klara who looks just like her daddy.
We're chilling out in front of their house enjoying the nice (and rare) warm Swedish summer and Maryam's neighbours came over to have a chat and fuss over Klara
I shouldn't be including these pics of me cause I look like crap but who cares about me when Klara was so cute
Maryam and me. Bffs! And now she has a little baby. Aww...Congratulations again Maryam!
Since its been extremely quiet around here....and i'm in one of my weird moods...i figured i'd blog a bit. :) Anyway...its not even proper blogging...i'm just throwing in random pics...of stuff that I find interesting...like this reindeer meat I tried the other day. D.D. got it from Finland. It was eh....not too bad....kinda salty...I tried two small slices of it...and urm...I think that was quite enough for me...hehe to be honest...I felt kinda bad having it....cause it reminded me of Rudolph...
Ok I have no idea what the Finnish name is...but it should be cold smoked reindeer topside :)
We went to a Japanese/Korean store last week and I got these Hello Kitty rice crackers. Hm..all of a sudden it feels like i'm so into all these oriental things. :p Hehe...anyway they were pretty good actually....and of course oh so cute...the crackers were heart shaped! Hehe....actually i think wan wan (is that how you spell that?) rice crackers taste better....probley because it contains more msg and crap like that. Hehe...but I still love these kitty ones....mmm...i'm down to my last pack now though....and i'm definitely saving it :D
Cute eh?
Some other stuff we got...mm..seaweed! Its not quite tao kae noi...but I don't mind :)
Heheh...yay!!! I got my Skin Food stuff!! I've never actually tried any of their other products...usually I just use the nail polishes and stuff....then last week I started browsing their websites and I found tons of interesting things....and I had two samples of the rice mask and black sugar mask...and I used them...and they were pretty good! I'm usually sensitive to new products so it was nice that I didn't have a bad reaction or anything like that. And so I made a whole long list of the products that sounded interesting...hehe and that was really hard cause the thing was...almost everything seemed really good! Anyway....thank you again Dear Daniel....for lugging all the stuff back from Korea for me....thank you thank you thank you! :D
The main products...cleanser, toners, emulsions, mist, scrubs etc..
The mask sheets and patches.
Oh and I got quite a lot of samples too! Wheeee! I arranged all the products and I took some pics....hehe if you wanna see more of each product upclose...just click
I made these muffins this morning. Yup Nene...it was the recipe you gave me. Anyway...I thought they were ok. Pretty easy to make. Yeah...and looking for bakpoeder (baking powder) around here is like searching for some kinda treasure or something. Heh.
Anyway I made two kinds...the first batch were just plain banana and walnut muffins...and for the second batch, I added some chopped up choccy bits. (And can you believe they don't have CHOCOLATE CHIPS around here??!)
I think i've been extremely good so far this year. I've barely acquired any new shoes...which is why it has taken me forever to do an update. Anyway I've finally taken pics of all the recent shoes...and added them to the current album. Not impressive at all. I am definitely running out of shoes.
BTW Nene, I was telling you about my most recent purchase..the brown suede heels I got last weekend..well they're in the album as well. It should be one of the last few pics.
