Hello. I'm gonna blog about Escape Theme Park today. I went there 2 days ago with my friends. Yasmyn, Khalisah and Sheryl. Hahah. We were actually supposed to go with Mei yee's church but we decided not to cause we thought that we would be extra. Hees. Anyway, we did see Mei yee and her church. And I remembered her friends that I met when we watched Saw 2 together. Hahah. Chenxi,Regina,Christina,Glen.....Yea. Hahah. They were really friendly. Hahah. Derh. Okay. Here are some pics that we took.

I took the inverter ride where it actually turns up and down and like you hang upside down. And it was really freaky. Whoa. I rode it twice cause of Khali and Sheryl. Grr. Hahah. So freaky. It was so high and we were like hanging upside down. Lol. And while we were waiting to ride, we watched the people riding the ride before us and there was this person whose saliva actually dropped when she was hanging upside down. So the saliva dropped from like the sky. It was sooo gross. Hahah. That person must be damn paiseh ah! Wa lao. Lol.

Caversham Wildlife Park.
This was my favourite place. So fun larh. We got to feed the kangaroos and got to touch the koalas. Ohh and they're actually called Koalas and not Koala bears. There's no such thing as Koala bears. Diao. Ok. I also took a picture with a wombat! Hahaha. So fat.Hahahahah. Ohh the guide, Wendy, was a Singaporean. Hahah. And like almost all the people we met there had been to Singapore or was a Singaporean. Even the music teacher at the school. She had been to Singapore before. Cool seh. Hahah.

Hahah! That's me feeding the kangaroos! But all the kangaroos didn't wanna eat! Annoying. The other group already fed them. Damn larh. Hahahah.
Peace out. Chillax.

Infant Jesus School (Morley) Immersion Yo. We went to the Infant Jesus School and my group had to go with a class of 11 year olds. Hahahah. We were given activities to do. The teachers paired each Singaporean student with 2 students from the class. And I was paired with two boys. Omg larh. They were so childish. Grrr. We were given a worksheet to do and on the worksheet, there were questions. We had to interview each other with the questions given on the worksheet. And I had to sit there stoning while the 2 boys played with spiders. My goodness larh. I was soo pissed. I think their names were Sheldon and Ryan. Yea. After that, my roommates and I got into a group of 4 pupils from the class. And we had to do all the things that the Australian people did. Like the traditional games and whatever. We made friendship bands, drew aboriginal hand thinggies, played boggle, played with some glue thing and we also had to do some tessalations thinggy. Yea. We also had lunch there and they had recess. So we also had recess. And Fathoum and I walked to the field where they played soccer. Man...They're good. And we saw Victoria playing cricket with a bunch of kids. Victoria pulled me and forced me to play. I had no choice so I hit the ball when it came near me. Lol. So embarassing. Anyway, this 12 year old girl called Rhiannon, gave me her email. She helped me with the cricket thinggy. Hahahah. So Fathoum and I went to the playground and I went off with Jaslene. We were jumping up and down when this woman came up to us and started talking to us. She was like soo friendly so Jaslene and I started talking to her. She was actually a music teacher in the school. Lol. So I told her that I played the piano. And she was like whoa....blah blah blah. I'm not gonna type out the whole conversation. Hahaha. Lazy larh. Wa lao. Lol. And here are some pictures of us doing the thinggies there........

Hahahaha. We also had to introduce the pupils there to the traditional games that we play in Singapore. Like the kuti kuti thing, the paperball and zero point. My group had to show another group how to play the paperball. I didn't even know how to play that thing. Neither did my friends. Lol. Anyway, Jaslene, Mei yee, Nadia and Yi Hui was in my group. We had to demonstrate to another group of 5 people how to play the thing. And we were like stoning there. We only blew the paperballs. Hahaha. Anyway, we ended up playing paperball volleyball. We made up the game. Damn lame larh. Hahaha. And we got so excited. Diao. Ok. I'll blog about Caversham Wildlife Park next :D
Chillax. Peace out.

Crystal Cave.Yo wazzup. I'm gonna blog about Crystal Cave. Which is a cave full of limestones, and some other stoney stuff. Ok. Diao. Lol. Crystal Cave is one of the caves in Yanchep National Park. Which is of course located in Perth. DUHHHH! Ok. In Yanchep National Park, there are like many many caves. I forgot how many there were. But Crystal Cave is one of the discovered ones. It was discovered by some dude. In the 1800s. I think. I forgot everything. I was seriously freaked out when I entered the Crystal Cave cause the group that went in before ours, said that there were 'ghosts' in there. So I didn't want to go in cause of my scaredness. Ok. If there is such a word. Lol. But anyway, I didn't have a choice. So I went into the cave. In the cave there were many crystals. Not really 'crystal crystal' like you always see but more of like, erm, stony stuff. Yea. But we weren't allowed to touch them because if people touch the crystals, some stuff from our hands will be transported to the crystals. And the crystals will turn black. But we were allowed to touch some that were specially protected. The ones we touched wouldn't turn black cause of some liquid thinggy on the outside. Yea. Don't know how to explain. Here are some pictures of the cave.

Erm. Ok. I took a lot of pictures here. And my friends and I did get a little bored while waiting for our turn to go into the cave so we took some rubbish picutres. Erm..we tried to take pictures while jumping up in the air. And some of them turned out really bad. Hahah. But i'll upload them anyway.

There's more nonsentical pictures but they're mostly rubbish. Lazy to upload. I'm gonna blog about the trail park thing next. Yea. HAHAHAH.
Chillax. Peace out.

Morish Nuts.Sorry for not blogging. Lazy.I'm gonna blog about Morish Nuts today cause everyone has been pestering me to blog about the nuts. Hahah. Lol.I bought the Morish Nuts from the Morish Nuts factory in Perth. ESPECIALLY FOR MAMA
And the guy who owns the shop is called Archie. Or Santa Claus. He looks freakishly like Santa. Lol. And I didn't take a picture with Archie. But my friend did take a picture with him. But I'm not gonna upload her face. Cause its not mine. Lol. And here are some pictures of the nuts. Ma was bugging me to take pictures of her precious precious nuts. Cause she loves them. Yea. Ok. Hahah. I ended up eating most of the family mix. The family mix consists of caramel coated almonds, cashews, macadamias and peanuts. Omg. So delicious. And baba couldn't eat any cause he can't chew properly! HAHAHAH!!! Thank gawd the school took pictures of Archie! Yay! So now you can see the Santa Claus man. Hahahh!

And of course, I bought Nougat for ma. Her favourite. There were pistachio nuts in it. But the crunchy nougat turned soft when I reached Singapore cause of the weather. There wasn't any difference between the Soft Nougat and the Crunchy Nut ones. More pics.....

Lol. Ok. Blah . Ok. Chillax. Next up.......Crystal Cave!

Hehe....Asia Beauty shampoo...from Schwarzkopf! It really reminded me of Asience or something...the stuff I use back home....so I was definitely very happy to find it. Hehe finally something for me here! :D
We also went to the Japanese/Korean store again...cause I needed my fix of Japanesey things...haha...essentially choya, nori and HK crackers :p But I also got some other stuff like udon and tofu! I've never got tofu in a tetra pack like thing...so i'm curious about this...

Its too bad they didn't have egg tofu! Hehe...yeah i've been craving for tofu lately...egg tofu specifically....Mel have you had any recently? Mmmm..:)
Oh I tried a different brand of rice crackers as well....hehe I thought they were so cute....check out the pics....

White Elephant
The restaurant.
We had dinner at this place called White Elephant last Saturday. It was somewhere on Van Woustraat. Apparently its one of the best Thai restaurants here. The food was actually quite good....this was what we had.....

I had tom yum soup of course...with prawns...that was somewhat spicy so I liked it :) Then we also ordered satay and some mango salad with duck I think?
And for the Hoofdgerecht we had lemongrass chicken which I liked cause it came with lots of mushrooms! We also had beef jungle curry or something.

Hehe...I especially loved the cover of the dish...look at the elephant...cute eh? And I saw they had elephant teapots too!
And for dessert we had the exotic fruits platter...heheh...yes...very exotic indeed. There was mango, dragonfruit, persimmon and mata kucing! :D

Food in BarcelonaHey what can I say...we're Singaporeans. If we don't talk about food there's something seriously wrong with us...At most places we went to, there were these stands where they sold roasted chestnut and sweet potatoes or something. Alah like at Bedok Interchange also got :)
And we also had some seafood paella....

And went berserk at this Tapas restaurant where we wanted to eat everything. The portions were so tiny! We had some Brava potatoes here, paella, mushroom fried in garlic, deep fried squid, bread with tomatoes and olive oil (mmm yummy) and chicken (ayam ciutat betul! :))

This was at another place, where Arlin had hmm..Andalucian squid? I can't remember..but it was good...

And I had pizza with chicken and anchovies and roquefort cheese. Good too albeit a little salty

On our last night there, we found a whole row of restaurants near the harbour (macam Boat Quay) and ate at this nice place which had humongous servings! Here I am taking a bite out of bread smeared with olive oil and tomatoes

And to satisfy Arlin's seafood craving, we ordered this huge platter of fresh seafood. This picture doesn't do justice to the real thing cause it was damn huge! I had to eat the langoustine :( and we had a lot of fish and calamari and some kinda whole sotong and tons and tons and tons of prawns. I must have eaten more prawn that night than I have in my entire life combined! And Arlin had a whole mountain of prawn shells when she was done. No more prawns for me, thank you very much :p

And this was the waiter that served us that night. He kept checking on us to see if we could actually eat up everything!
With Arlin on this trip, of course we went into all the supermarkets. And this one's our favourite...

And we bought all kinds of junk! The Turron things were really good though, especially the ones with almonds...mmm..Ma we bought some for you!
And I found this Nutella snack thing which was really cool. It was like hmm what do you call those...that chocolate snack we have at home..not hello panda..the other one..Yan Yan! Yeah it was Nutella Yan Yan but it came with iced tea as well.

*Renee*
P.S. Arlin can you blog about the sights? Malas ah...

SHOPPING!!!This is a funny story. When we were looking for hotels in the Ramblas/Catalunya area before the trip, practically all of them were fully booked. We got so frustrated that we were actually ready to camp out in front of the Zara and Mango stores like a bunch of hobos. That was the main purpose of the trip anyway..shopping! Anyways thanks to Mat Atas' help we did find a nice hotel to stay at and we did manage to get some shopping done. Whee!!
The main purpose of our trip! MANGO! Hi Penelope :)
Arlin and I on the Metro, on our way to Placa Catalunya, all psyched up to do some serious shopping!
First we went to this huge mall near the harbour and then we just went up and down The Ramblas and into all the Zara, Mango and Bershka stores! After all that, we had to sit down and rest our aching feet and arms! Arlin's fingers actually turned blue from all the weight of the shopping bags! Oh I'm having this white chocolate drink here which was really yummy and thick. And thanks to the French uncles who helped us take this pic!
Here we are with our shopping bags and we're feeling really satisfied and happy

Bags, bags and more bags and some of the things we got!

BARCELONA!
Yep finally blogging about this. I keep hearing Arlin's voice: "Have you blogged about Spain yet? Have you blogged yet?" Well I'm finally doing it now :p
So yeah Arlin and I were there for 4 days last week and we had the best time ever! Firstly it was all nice and warm and then the shopping was great and the people were friendly and it was easy to get around and have i mentioned how great the shopping was and on top of all that the guys were absolutely gorgeous. What more can a girl ask for? :)
So here are some pics we took at the airport when we first arrived.

Barcelona's like the capital of Catalonia (an autonomous community in the kingdom of Spain, source wikipedia) and the official languages there are Catalan and Spanish so everywhere we went there were signs in both languages.
Mon Bus! Haha our favourite bus! 4 of these mon buses came while we were waiting for our hotel shuttle bus. The driver of this particular mon bus was so damn cute! Too bad he doesn't show in this pic.

And we also checked out the taxis. They're actually a lot like the ones back home in Singapore and not too pricey for European standards (compared to like Sweden and Holland) but the only difference was that the taxi drivers were hot, young Spanish guys!
Since our hotel was close to the airport but kinda far from the city centre, Arlin and I had to learn how to take the public transportation. We love the Metro, a slightly more complicated version of the MRT.
This was the stop closest to our hotel: Hospital de Bellvitge.
And here's a map of the Metro system and the different train lines.

Finally on Switzerland!
(Hehe...Heidiland!!)
About a week after New York...we flew to Zurich for the weekend...cause it was Hari Raya...and I was feeling a bit bleh...cause I missed Mummy and Ba and Ar and Nene. :( Anyway...it was sort of a surprise destination...I had no idea where I was going...so I just packed random stuff...and when we got to the airport....my first thought was...uhh...are we going to Talinn?! Heheh...anyway....Switzerland was really nice...we were at this area called Bad Ragaz (haha doesn't sound very Swiss eh? ;p)....which was about an hour's drive or so from Zurich. We got there pretty late so it was all dark and I couldn't see anything.
This was what I woke up to the next morning...cantik eh?

Yes, idiot blogger again....I really don't know why they don't allow us to rotate pics..ugh!!
Me out on the balcony thing.

I thought it was really cantik. Continue later! :)

Back to AmsterdamWell I'm gonna backtrack a bit and blog more about Amsterdam before writing about Barcelona. Saving the best for last eh? :) So this time, I finally got to go to the museums in Amsterdam that I've been wanting to. First we went to the Rijksmuseum and I actually got to see some of Rembrandt's works which was really cool. As we were there on a Friday night, there was also a lot going on. There was a little cello recital right in the middle of one of the galleries and they were selling food and drinks and there were a lot of people. Why can't we have happening museums like that here?!

The museum's exterior and us posing around in the dark.
After the rijksmuseum, we walked through this park thing to get to the Van Gogh museum. While there, we saw two really cute Siberian Huskies so we asked this guy who was the owner if we could take pictures. They look so pretty! Macam wolves eh?

After that we went to the Van Gogh museum and that was also an incredible experience. It felt so surreal to see his Sunflowers painting. I remember how Cik Dek had that in his living room. Actually I think it was Cik Dek who first told me about Van Gogh. It was really amazing to see his works. And I especially loved Almond Blossom cause the blue background is so intense and vibrant and it looks really nice.
The only downer was that I didn't get to see my favourite painting, Starry Night. I was really looking forward to that and Arlin had told me how amazing it looks for real and all. I looked at every single painting and couldn't find it. Turns out it's in New York, at the Museum of Modern Art. Argh!! Now I have to go to New York too! Oh yeah there was a special Barcelona exhibition too at the Van Gogh museum and we saw some of Picasso's works as well.

And after spending a total of 7 or 8 hours at the museums, we went for dinner at this nice little Italian restaurant.

A few days later, we went to yet another museum, the Anne Frank museum. It was the house that she and her family lived in for 3 years during the war. It was really small and cramped and it makes you wonder how she and everyone there managed to be cooped up there for so long without going out at all. And there were these markings on one of the walls which showed Anne and her sister Margot's heights while they were growing up there. I felt really touched to see everything cause I remember reading her diary when I was 13. I remember how when I got to the end of the book and it said that she died in a concentration camp, I cried and cried like crazy. It was a memorable experience to be at the place where she wrote down all her thoughts and feelings all those years ago.

From NY to Frankfurt.

Its been awhile since i've blogged...hehe to be honest there's a lot more that I should and could blog about NY...but i'm lazy....cause it feels like so long ago now...even though its probley just a month ago since the trip....heh..i'm not gonna spend a whole year blogging about one trip....especially when there are other trips that I should be blogging about. Haha...Nene and Arnee don't say i'm mean now. I think there are certain issues that we should address...to certain snoopys. Especially if they've got no sense of originality.
Anyway since I took some pics from the plane....on my way back from NY...and since I just came across them...I thought I should upload them. It was extremely tiring waiting just to take off..so I just kept taking pics.
In a cab on the way to the airport.

Ohh...I saw a sign which said Flushing on the way to the airport...hehe...Yeah!! "The flashy girl from Flushing...the Nanny named Fran!" :D

Planes at JFK.

I listened to Buble's album over and over again since I couldn't really sleep.
Random pic from the plane.

Planes and stuff at Frankfurt.
